I made a call to a travel clinic to get prices for shots and an evaluation. The norm appears to be $35 for the consultation. I’m going to get price lists from a few places but I will probably have to get a Mumps/Meales/Rubella shot and a Meningitis update. I know they’re going to push the Japanese Encephalitis shot but it’s really rare to catch and an expensive regimin of shots. I don’t mind shots so much (actually, I kind of like them), they’re just expensive to get and not covered by insurance. I figured I’d just have them write scrpts for malaria meds (another fight against the expensive U.S.-approved brands), anti-cholera, antibiotics etc.
